We also work with other local organisations, promoting our aims of growing more food locally, connecting with nature through growing things, encouraging sustainability and working with other local people.

  • Eco Centre, have a stall at fairs, hosted a site in the community garden for students making a clay pizza oven
  • Rotary, assisted with potting up plants for the annual fund-raising plant sale
  • Stoney Wood orchard and Apple Day, have a stall at events
  • Wirksworth Festival, our Transition action groups have a stall in the market at Art & Architecture weekend
  • Wirksworth Horticultural Show, we help with putting on this show and winning some of the prizes
  • Derby Refugee Centre, local volunteers have brought refugees to visit the community garden, join us in doing some gardening, and also demonstrate their home country farming skills.
