The Wirksworth Community Growers are keen to encourage people to grow their own fruit, vegetables and flowers because it is important for making us less reliant on imported and supermarket foods.
With the agreement of Wyvern Rail, we have created a community garden at the top of the slope overlooking Wirksworth Station.
We are also help local schools and Waltham House with their gardens. In 2017, we started helping the local Rotary Club with their annual fund-raising plant sale.We planted seeds and potted up vegetable plants.

This is usually held at the Memorial Gardens in May every year. Veg and flowers, including wildflower plants are all available.
